He talks. I'm attentive. I listen. I allow myself to be affected by his words, his behavior. My turn. I respond to what he says. He looks over my shoulder into space....He goes back to what he was saying as if I'd never spoken. Is he listening to me? Nah...Do I have to deal with it? Yes.
